Rachel Therrien Concert Tour - March/April 2025
Jazz After Hours listeners are invited to celebrate Latin jazz this season during Rachel's multi-city Latin Jazz Project tour
Trumpet and flugelhorn star Rachel Therrien stands out as one of the most innovative voices in jazz and global music. Therrien features her Latin Jazz Project in multiple cities over the next few weeks, performing a festive repertoire of original works and Afro-Latin jazz classics from salsa to danzón and rumba to cha-cha-cha. Therrien has performed around the world at festivals like Juan Les Pins Jazz Festival and Havana Jazz Festival, as well as at venues like Jazz at Lincoln Center and 55 Bar in New York.
She believes that jazz is “a philosophy of conversation between musicians of different backgrounds through improvisation, and as musicians, our mission is to work for the prosperity of the genre through ensuring that our generation of non-musicians is able to live and appreciate this language”. She plays a key role in the Montreal jazz scene…opening its borders, leading emerging musicians by example, and working for the community.
Rachel and her Latin Jazz Project are coming to your town. For more information, visit Rachel’s website.
